Driver's license
What is the minimum age requirement to rent a car?
The driver should be at least 20 years and shall have held a driver‘s license for at least one year before renting a vehicle.
Is my driver’s license valid in Iceland?
Provided that your license is valid in your country or state, your driver’s license is acceptable. International drivers are not required but are also accepted.
Online booking
Can I rent a car for less than 2 days?
Yes you can, however our booking system requires a minimum of 2 days booked. If you want to return the vehicle earlier, please contact us and we'll arrange a drop off at suitable time.
I don't know my flight number yet, can I still complete the booking?
Yes, just send us the flight number using the contact form when you have received it and we'll add it to the booking. Please include the booking reference.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
If the renter cancels a reservation 30 days or earlier before planned pickup time the rental company will charge a cancellation fee which amounts to 25% of the total rental price.
If the renter cancels 7-29 days before planned pickup time the rental company will charge a cancellation fee which amounts to 50% of the total rental price.
If the renter cancels 0-6 days before planned pickup time or does not show up (no-show) the rental company will charge a cancellation fee which amounts to 100% of the total rental price.
Pick up / Drop off
What do I need to have when picking up the car?
You will need to provide passport, driver's license and a valid credit card under the name of the main driver.
Where is your office in Keflavík located?
The office in Keflavík is located about 8 minutes drive from Keflavík International Airport, on Bogatröð 1, 262 Reykjanesbær.
Can I pick the car up at the Keflavik Airport?
We don't have a office at the airport where you can pick up the car. Instead we offer shuttle between the airport and our office which is close to the airport but not within walking distance.
What pick up and drop off options do you offer?
We offer various pick up and drop off locations in the Keflavik area including Keflavik International Airport. Pick up and drop off service is available 24/7 at all locations.
How does the Keflavik Airport Shuttle work?
Nordic Campers offer airport pick up and drop off shuttle service at Keflavik International Airport. One of our employees will be in the arrival hall at the airport 30 minutes after your plane has arrived holding a sign with our logo. If you don’t find our employee at the airport, please call +354 511 5660. The renter and additional passengers (if there's enough room for the passengers and the luggage in our 9 seat shuttles) is transferred to our office which is located a few minutes from the airport where the rental agreement is signed and the rental car is delivered.
If you choose the Keflavik Airport Shuttle as the drop off option, you must return the car to our Keflavik office and one of our employees will drive you and your group to Keflavik Airport.
On the road
Is there any mileage or distance limit (miles/km) I can drive my rented car?
No, there is no limit as to how far you wanted to travel using our cars.

Insurances
What insurances are included?
Collision damage waiver (CDW) is included free with all order with self risk of 500.000 ISK. You can purchase additional insurances and SCDW to lower the self risk to 360.000 ISK.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept MasterCard and VISA credit cards.
How much do I pay in advance?
When booking you pay 15% off the total rental price, including any extras and insurances selected. The remaining amount will be paid when the rental car is delivered.
In the last step of the booking process you can select to pay the full amount. You'll get additional 5% discount on the total booking amount.
You can also choose to pay the full amount and get additional 5% discount on the total amount.
Is it safe to book in this site?
Yes it's totally safe to book on nordiccampers.net. The site uses verified SSL certificate to transfer all information safely, including personal information and credit card details.
Why am I transferred to Valitor to make payments?
